So What Jazz ...is a newly formed Jazz combo that features a fusion of classic and contemporary Jazz styles and the sultry vocal stylings of Sarah Long. The group is made up of veteran musicians that bring their own mix of experience and styles to form musical selections that all will enjoy.

Viento De Agua

Viento de Agua is an original Latin dance/performance band with a groundbreaking new sound. The term itself refers to a Puerto Rican phrase used to describe the damp and humid air that precedes a heavy rainstorm. The traditional Afro-Puerto Rican rhythms bomba y plena, are combined with various Afro-Caribbean rhythms and jazz to create a fresh contemporary style. The result of this fusion is an explosive sound that both seduces the most skilled dancer and stimulates the most sophisticated listener. Hector 'Tito' Matos, the director of Viento de Agua, explains the concept: “Our purpose is to disseminate our original and creative way of performing these ancestral rhythms not only to our Latino audience but to the rest of the world as well.” This ensemble was conceived and created in New York City in the fall of 1997

The Memphis Horns

The Memphis Horns are the quintessential Memphis music combination, Andrew Love, tall, black and as mellow as one of his tenor solos; Wayne Jackson, short, white and as intense as one of his trumpet blasts. Together they were reared in all that Memphis music had to offer. Wayne got his start across the River in his hometown of West Memphis, Arkansas, strumming the guitar and singing in childhood talent shows. Andrew began his career playing “Amazing Grace” in Memphis’ Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, where his father, Roy, was the preacher. Wayne took up trumpet after his mother gave him one at age 11 and began playing in the junior and senior high school bands

Raaga Trio

The Raaga Trio plays a subtle fusion of jazz and traditional West-African music. Made up of four members from different backgrounds, the trio’s music pulls you into deep currents of Mandingue feeling, experimental and Jazzy sounds and sweeps you away with the magnificent n’goni and bass n’goni of Andra Kouyaté, the excellent rhythms of the percussionist Baba Konaté, the harmonious, electric tones of Andreas Fulgosi’s superb guitar work and the powerful dubs on harmonica by Guillaume Lagger. This music is an invitation to embark on a journey through sound, and a chance to experience its positivism, its humanity and its generosity. Listen without moderation. Raaga Trio’s first album "The Other Edge" has just been recorded by Renaud Millet-Lacombe at Hush Sound Studio in Switzerland. It will be released early 2010. Andreas Fulgosi Guitar, electronics, composer, teacher Italy, 1967 Andreas Fulgosi’s playing reveals a slightly saturated sound, accompanied by syncopated phrasing. He does not hesitate to play with melodic and harmonic tensions, giving a unique texture to his compositions, in which he delights in exploiting the sounds and universe of the electric guitar. Originally a classical cello player before fully devoting himself to the guitar, he deepens his knowledge of improvisation at the AMR (an association for the encouragement of improvised music), Geneva. After attending the Montreux Jazz School and the Bern Jazz School, he studies with Mick Goodrick, John Scofield and Wolfgang Muthspiel. In the early 90’s he forms his first band as a leader, the BLT quartet (modern jazz). His collaboration with German ballerina and choreographer Sibylla Klein on the shows “Empty Space”, “Wo gehen die geträumten Träume”, “Shocking Life” and “Tauko”, a Finnish exhibition, for which he writes and interprets the music, widens the range of his musical approach. Andreas Fulgosi forms the By-Spiel project, eager to make full use of the world of sounds in jazz music through the use of traditional instruments from different cultures as well as modern instruments mixed with electronics. Thus, he creates a multitude of contrasts within his original compositions. He releases « Looking Outside », recorded with German avant- gardes trombone player Albert Mangelsdorff and «Madagascar« , following the encounter with Madagascan percussionist Olombelo Ricky. The other ensembles he leads and composes for are also part of his musical environment : “Blood on the Floor” (compositions inspired by the music of the Sex Pistols) and the quartet “Dusty Road”(guitar, pedal steel, b, drums, modal electric jazz). He is also member of the Fulgosi-Perez quintet (modern jazz), Red Brick Organic trio (guit, Hammond B3, dms). “VAL AFUMO” (live improvisation on the movies of American cineast Mike Ballou), “Stringvox” duo and “Palatone” (live poetry and music). His various performances have taken him to Germany, The Czech Republic, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Ghana, Guinea, Madagascar, Italy, Finland, Belgium, France and Mali.

Italian Jazz Armada

New jazz ensemble, we experiment with live improvisation, electronics when not everyone is aboard the armada, and well-pondered constructions. Though we love the standards, we are more interested in composing and producing what we hope are new and original work. Our first album, long fermented like robust red wine, is near completion, so the journey goes.

Since their formation in 1996 Partisans has been thrilling audiences the world over with their ferociously energetic performances of tightly knit themes and the great freedom coming from their years of playing together. Partisans are real band – known for bridging the gap between New York swing, European improv and UK jam– where the combination of each member’s influences feeds a genuine creative spark generating huge excitement and energy. Co- led by two of the preeminent musicians of their generation, Phil Robson (guitars) and Julian Siegel (tenor sax & bass clarinet), the quartet line-up is completed by Thaddeus Kelly (bass) and Gene Calderazzo (drums)

The Wassailers

Siblings David and Dustin MacFadden-Elliott, finding themselves on opposite coasts, nevertheless still managed to collaborate via internet while one was working on arrangements in a Berkeley, Calif. attic and the other was studying drums at Berklee School of Music in Boston, Mass. They brought frequent collaborator Brian Leavell into the fold for his excellent alto sax work, and couldn't complete the project without the vocal talents of actress, playwright, and vocal chameleon Olivia MacFadden-Elliott.

Origin Blue

Drawing influences from nearly everything that crosses their path, ORIGIN BLUE creates music that is both easily recognizable and hard to categorize. The genre-bending trio combines all styles of music from funk to modern/contemporary jazz to rock and distills them into sounds that are as thought-provoking as they are danceable. The group has performed their music in venues worldwide, including the Blue Note Milan and Catalina's Jazz Club in Hollywood, and they have collaborated with such celebrated musicians as saxophonist Francesco Bearzatti.
