Robert Wilson is a guitarist of over twenty years of experience in various genres of music. A native of Plattsburgh, NY, Robert helped to form his first band while attending SUNY Plattsburgh. The Empty Bottles Blues Band performed in Northern New York for two years and recorded one album before disbanding in 1996. In summer 1997 Robert relocated to Charlotte, NC with the intent of making inroads into the burgeoning city's music scene. He co-led the R&B band Bleuphoria with bassist Jim Guyett. After many personnel changes and performances, Bleuphoria disbanded in 2000. It was in 2000 that Robert stopped performing to concentrate on jazz studies

Sinti Rhythm

Sinti Rhythm is an acoustic jazz quartet featuring Andy Moore on clarinet, Jack Soref and Robert Saunders on guitars, and Mike Ball on upright bass. Sinti Rhythm performs hot jazz and Gypsy swing music inspired by Django Reinhardt, Le Quintette du Hot Club de France, and the Sinti musicians of Europe. An infectious blend of European and American harmonies powered by string-based rhythms, this music includes classics from the Great American Songbook, compositions by Django, and selections from Sinti musicians like Bireli Lagrene, Stochelo Rosenberg, Dorado Schmitt, and Titi Winterstein. Sinti Rhythm's performances throughout Massachusetts and the Northeast have included a three-year residency at Atwood's Tavern in Cambridge, an appearance at the Brooklyn Djangology Festival, the Django Reinhardt Centennial at the French Library and Cultural Center of Boston, and shows at Toad, Cantab Lounge, The Stork Club, Sherborn Inn, and Novartis. The group has been interviewd on radio stations WMBR FM Cambridge, and WBUR Here and Now with Robin Young

In Canada, there are two official languages: English and French. While English is spoken in basically every province, French is spoken mainly in Québec. The province of Québec has a beautiful musical tradition that goes back a long way. In the same way Duke Ellington and Count Basie and countless jazz musicians and orchestras celebrated the American Popular Song, Ensemble Fleur de Lys celebrates this French speaking culture by playing original jazz arrangements of the great Québécois popular songs. Boukman Eksperyans ushered in a musical revolution during the late-'80s with their Grammy-nominated debut album, “Voudou Adjae.” This brilliant release introduced the world to Boukman's signature worldly high energy sound that fuses traditional Haitian and Caribbean rhythms with rock and reggae, all the while spreading their spiritual message. “Voudou Adjae” brought the band international prominence and made them spokespeople for the common Haitian. Boukman take their name from a Vodou priest who helped to unify the Haitian slaves. The slave leader led the revolution against the French colonists which ended in 1804 with the former slaves victoriously forming the first Black republic in the world
