Dirty Mind

Dirty Mind Jazz Quintet is a fusion jazz group founded in 2010. The aim was to gather a generation of educated musicians living in Belgrade who play jazz music. Band’s repertoire consist of it’s own compositions, original swing, soul and acid jazz compositions (Lost Wallet Blues, Black Cat, Parasite Therapy, Lazy Jazzy Mood,…). Regular repertoire also consist of band’s original arrangements of famous songs (Moanin’, Can’t touch this,…). The band also performs modern Nu Jazz (Erykah Badu, Roy Hargrove Incognito, Esperanza Spalding, D’Angelo,…), Latin Jazz on Portuguese (Jobim, Joao Gilberto,…), Swing Jazz standards (Ella Fitzgerald, Nataly Cole, Stacey Kent, Peggy Lee,…), as well as some of the more progressive fusion and modern jazz instrumentals(Herbie Hancock, Path Metheny, Weather report, Miles Davis,…). Dirty Mind Jazz Quintet is a regular part of belgrade’s jazz scene, playing in Akademija 28, Čekaonica, Jazz&Blues klub Plek, OUR bar, Monk’s bar,… and also in region Vip Club – Zagreb, Gusan – Novi Sad, Krug – Kovin,..

Jazz In Pink

Jazz In Pink is the world-renowned, all-female, all Star band based in Los Angeles, CA. In 12 years, Jazz In Pink has emerged as one of the world's most prominent and popular all-female, ensembles. They enjoy a growing social media presence on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. Jazz In Pink delivers a mixed genre which is primarily Jazz with soul, R&B, symphonic, rock and hip hop undertones. The band's core members started with Gail Jhonson, Althea René, Maria Antoinette, and Karen Briggs. Since 2008, Jazz In Pink has not only performed throughout the country and around the world, but has worked to fill learning, social, and cultural gaps through community outreaches and events

The SoHo Rentals

"The SoHo Rentals" is a Modern Jazz duo conformed by Alejo Nobili on piano and Matias Menarguez on drums. The band was formed in 2012 and is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their music blends Jazz with different musical genres, giving as a result a certainly unique sound, introducing South American rhythms and Argentine folk music, with a personal and modern approach. Their sound could remind the likes of Vijay Iyer trio, Robert Glasper trio, Mark Guiliana and Now vs Now, among others. The band have been exhaustively playing in lots of different venues in Buenos Aires for the past year. They will be touring NYC all through July 2013.

Frisco Jazz Band

The Frisco Jazz Band is a community-based, 19 piece big band performing jazz and dance standards based in Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization benefiting the City of Frisco and the neighboring communities. Our main goal is to bring a high level of musicianship suitable for public and private performances, while having fun in an enjoyable environment. The FJB performs classic Big Band swing tunes from the "Great American Song Book". These enduring standards include songs from Broadway, the movies, and Tin Pan Alley. Some of the many composers included are George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Johnny Mercer, Hoagy Carmichael, Henry Mancini

The VJE

It takes a bold, knowledgeable, and inventive group to call itself The VJE. The moniker Verve conjures the legendary jazz label Verve Records: once home to the greatest pioneering names in the artform – from Duke Ellington, Stan Getz and Ella Fitzgerald to Bill Evans, Count Basie, and Buddy Rich. It is in the spirit of the Verve label’s 1950s - ‘60s hard bop heyday that The VJE composes, arranges, and performs jazz of a timeless quality. Across eight albums and counting – the latest entitled All In – the “VJE” has been satisfying the cravings of critics and audiences alike, consistently placing near or at the very top of the JazzWeek radio chart for the past decade. No less than Ellis Marsalis, the late, revered patriarch of the highly distinguished Marsalis Family that gave us Wynton, Branford, Jason and Delfeayo Marsalis, observed, “The VJE is the new MJQ,” referring to the fabled Modern Jazz Quartet.

Trio con Tromba var en svensk jazzgrupp bildad av Jan Allan (trumpet), Bengt Hallberg (piano) och Georg Riedel (bas). Namnet betyder trio med trumpet. Gruppen spelade ett slags kammarjazz.

Jackie Myers

Jackie Myers is a jazz pianist, composer, and singer. She has been pleasing audiences in Kansas City and Austin TX with shows that feature a mix of jazz standards by the greats, including Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Charlie Parker, Bill Withers, and others. Audiences are treated to Myers’ innovative and fluid keyboard work, punctuated by her bluesy vocals. At other times, Myers’ shows feature a purely instrumental dose of her own compositions. Performing as part of a trio, quartet, or quintet, Myers is typically joined by some of the best musicians offered by a locale, typically combining a crisp rhythm section with top artists on horns or guitar

inside//outside

Borrowing elements from IDM, jazz, and progressive rock, inside//outside is an international power trio for the 21st century. Formed in the Spring of 2012, the band grew out of a collaboration between Belgian keyboardist Wim Leysen, and the American rhythm section of Adam Neely & Shawn Crowder. Their self-titled debut album, released on February 1, 2013, features an organic 
blend of electronic textures, acoustic instrumentation, and tightly arranged compositions, aided by guest musicians including violist Benjamin von Gutzeit of the world-renowned Turtle Island String Quartet, Ivan Rosenberg, Jon Ragonese and Elliott Klein
