Thomas Barth was born in Vienna in 1965. He studied piano and composition in Austria, Denmark and the USA including master classes with Herbie Hancock at the Mozarteum/ Salzburg 1987 and with Weather Report founder Joe Zawinul at the Wiener Meisterkurse, Vienna 1992. Studio/ Live collaborations including Beat4Feet , Stray Dog Music, Electric Diamond, Brand Nubian, Deodato (Vienna Jazz Festival 2002, State Opera) and his own projects in Vienna and New York. 2007: Producer (CD) of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Nabucco, recorded live at the open air festival in St. Margarethen/ Austria. Their debut album, The Heights Life, is an eclectic, soulful, & imaginative collection of songs for the modern jazz quintet. Featuring Gil Del Bosque: tenor & soprano saxophones, and E.W.I; Dan Andersen: guitar; Dan Redner: piano & keyboard; Eric Ross: bass, and Mike Fonseca: drums.

LABtrio (Lander – Anneleen – Bram) are three musicians with strong personalities, endowed with a fresh and adventurous approach to music. The trio’s acoustic universe conceals an urban jazz that flirts with electronic, underground and hip-hop cultures. Since the Trio’s founding in 2007, they have received several awards and prizes (including a superb double – Audience Prize and Grand Prize – at the prestigious Avignon ‘Tremplin Jazz’ festival in 2011). Thanks to this price, they recorded their first album at the Studio la Buissone, Pernes-les fontaines in France. Their first album “Fluxus” released in October 2013 (Outhere records) – a real gem – constitutes testimony to what is the jazz of today, seen by this new generation of musicians. In 2014, LABtrio participated at the 12 points festival in Umeå, and received a lot of positive feedback

Peppe Jalava Band

Peppe Jalava Band is a quintet of five professional and creative musicians. The ensemble plays progressive jazz compositions by Pertti "Peppe" Jalava. Many of his Jazz compositions as well as orchestral and chamber works have been awarded internationally. Oakland Jazz Choir

The Oakland Jazz Choir got its start in 1992 as an offshoot of its namesake city's other popular choral group - the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. Stacey Hoffman, Executive Director of Living Jazz (the organization that produces the beloved Jazz Camp West) had nurtured the Gospel Choir until it took off to form its own organization. Soon after she initiated the Oakland Jazz Choir as another project of Living Jazz. In the 13 years that ensued, the choir experienced a wonderful evolution (as well as some growing pains) that took it from a 50-voice community choir to a 20-voice semi-professional choir

He by passion, by choice, by natural inclination and also by destiny considering the time and place of birth - 1958 in New York which was dominated by the sound of Jazz. Of different origins and upbringings they shared an irrepressible common need: live for the music and with the music. Gaucho

Gaucho is a masterful Bay Area band that combines the influence of gypsy jazz of 1930’s Europe with the rhythmic drive and collective improvisation of New Orleans swing music, gutbucket blues and elements of ragtime. Their sound, a uniquely American concoction, blends instrumental acuity and lighthearted humor that keep their audience coming back for more. As founder, guitarist, and main composer Dave Ricketts says, the band is “in love with the music of Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller and Jimmie Rodgers, as well as the stories, the life styles and the foot steps of hundreds of other great jazz, blues, country and rock musicians that created the sound of American Music from roughly 1900-1950’s”

Led by eminent guitarist, Dave Ricketts, the group has been a San Francisco mainstay for over fifteen years, and one of the busiest bands in the bay area playing 5 to 10 gigs a week
