Jazz Orchestra composer, Colin Byrne was born in Cork City, Ireland in 1974 where he spent many years playing and touring with various bands. In 1995 he moved to Leeds, England and in 1999 he completed a BA degree in Jazz Studies at Leeds College of Music. In 2000 completed his M.Mus in Jazz Composition. The idea for Big Band Byrne was first conceived in June 1999 just as Colin Byrne was about to complete his B.A. degree in Jazz Studies at Leeds College Of Music. Colin had been writing prolifically during his degree years and had, without realising, produced the first few compositions for the exhilarating pad that Big Band Byrne uses today. Gutbucket

Gutbucket is a free-range band. The seven-year-old New York quartet is not only equally comfortable playing in front of 900 sweatily pogo-ing teenage skate-punks, a crowd of stoned jamband freaks, or on an anarchist German art collective houseboat, but most importantly, their music fits right in. The Stageband is a bigband from Groningen, The Netherlands, existing some twenty years. Nineteen enthousiastic young musicians, conducted by Jeroen Rol, play bigband repertoire from past and present, putting first quality and pleasure in playing. Founded in 1990 by Guitarist/Songwriter Chris Broberg and Vibraphonist/Sho-biz Hustler Carlos X Pena. The Jazz Pigs have dedicated their sound to be against type and to deliver a high energy dynamic performance. Unlike most so-called jazz bands that lack passion and stage presence The Jazz Pigs perform "for" their audiences not "to" them. After Chris' departure in 1996, Carlos X has lead the band into a jazz fusion sound that can draws it's influences from everything from Coltrane to Zappa to Santana and Prog Rock. The Jazz Pigs wide open approach to standards has made them one of the most popular jam bands in Southern California and has Shaken up audiences in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Eastern Western Europe and Australia.

Formed in 2003, The Kevin Robinson Ensemble (KRE) is lead by Baltimore saxophonist, Kevin Robinson. Sid is the son of a ship yard worker from Bangor, Northern Ireland. His music practice began in the mid 80’s in rockabilly and garage bands. Moving to London at 17 and working as a hospital porter he developed an interest in jazz and blues visiting the 100 Club, Dingwalls and Station Tavern. Returning to Northern Ireland Sid worked as a library assistant and taught himself music theory from library books before embarking on formal study and a colourful career in composition.
