Turning Point
When the combustible four-man force of musical nature known as Turning Point took over the Phoenix club scene in the mid-90s, the desert city's nights truly became as steamy as its days. Establishing itself before packed houses at hotspots like The Famous Door and Beeloes, and later becoming regional sensations playing some 200 dates a year, the band grew to embody the freewheeling creative spirit of indie music. Drawing on each member's musical and cultural background, Turning Point forged an eclectic sound that mixed progressive jazz with rock, R&B and blues, with touches of Greek music and--paying homage to their home in the Southwest--Latin jazz

Sonando
Sonando was founded in 1990 by Fred Hoadley to explore new directions in the blending of Afro-Cuban rhythms and Jazz. For over a decade, Sonando has performed original Latin Jazz at festivals, clubs & concerts throughout the Northwest. Our first two recordings, Sonando (1995) & La Rumba Esta Buena (1998), received airplay and critical acclaim throughout the country. Our third, Sonando Tres, was released May 16, 2006 on the Origin Arts label, and is currently being aired around the country.
Sonando's repertoire includes traditional & modern interpretations of Afro-Cuban styles such as Son, Changui, Bata & Rumba, as well as our signature Latin Jazz

NBTNO were formed while founder members Chris Miles (guitar) and Pat Shaw (alto sax) were still studying at Clarendon College Nottingham. Their debut album was recorded and produced as part of Chris’ final year at Derby University and makes innovative use of the studio as the ‘fifth member of the band’. The current line up includes father and son rhythm section Pete Nightingale (drums) and Mark Nightingale (bass). They play powerful contemporary jazz with a strong melodic slant and have been described as “…the British equivalent to Lalo Schifrin” and "contemporary electric jazz without falling into the fusion straitjacket"

The Plunge Trio
Swedish trio Plunge has been in existence since 2001. The Malmö-based trio deals with collectively improvised, acoustic music. Their music is based on interplay, presence, spontaneity and a far-reaching sense of form. Plunge has toured in Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland and the UK and has also released two trio albums on the Swedish indie-label Kopasetic Productions, "Plunge" (2004) and "Refreshingly Addictive" (2007). Besides working as a trio, Plunge also has an ongoing collaboration with renowned Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson. The rewarding collaboration between the trio and Stenson started in the fall of 2002, and has so far resulted in numerous tours of Sweden, several national and European radio broadcasts and two CD's on Kopasetic, "Plunge with Bobo Stenson" (2005) and "Origo" (2009). The Dalton Gang is a ten piece band led by guitarist, arranger and composer Willy Dalton. The band mixes jazz with a blend of funk and latin music. The members are freelance musicians around the New York area. Among their credits are recordings and performances with such artists as Buddy Rich, Machito, Lionel Hampton, Tito Puente, Daniel Ponce, Cissy Houston, and others. The Dalton Gang is a real "group", not a band of musicians brought together for a special project. They performed for the first time in 1979. The band members are: Vinnie Cutro-- trumpet, Mark Friedman--alto sax and flute, Frank Elmo--tenor sax and flute, Dan Nigro-- baritone sax, Conrad Zulauf-- trombone, Frank Valdes--percussion, Mike DiLorenzo-- piano, John Hughes--bass, Vince Cherico--drums, and Willy Dalton--guitar.
