Principles Sound

Principles Sound is a jazz world band, led by Pino D’Eri - bass, Dario Chiazzolino - guitar and Gianni Branca - drums. Following the demise of their first album – Lost in the Jungle, Principles Sound established the musical ensemble in 2011. the The band reunited to produce Lost in the Jungle in Los Angeles on January 2012. The band’s debut album can be described as “jazz-world-fusion“, though it is much closer to traditional jazz than the jazz-fusion albums of 1990s. The band members are Bob Mintzer on sax, Russel Ferrante on piano, Dario Chiazzolino on guitar, Jimmy Haslip and Pino D’Eri on bass and Gianni Branca on drums. Principles Sound have steadily achieved a startlingly sublime synthesis of soaring and unmistakable melody, progressive instrumentation and aggressive heaviness unrivaled within hard rock music

Little Worlds

Little Worlds is dedicated to innovative reinterpretations of the Mikrokosmos collection. Written by 20th century Hungarian composer Bela Bartok, Mikrokosmos, or Little Worlds, was originally intended as a progressive study of piano technique. Since their completion in 1939, the study and performance of these 153 etudes has become standard in the classical music community. Offering insight into Bartok’s innovative use of rhythm, harmony and musicality, the pieces are often cited as the master composer’s most important musical testament. Matt Dickey

Matt Dickey is a guitarist, composer/arranger and engineer based in NYC. As an undergrad, he studied with Dave Stoltz (of the Dickey Betts Band) and Bob Carabillo at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Currently, he is a grad student in NYU's Music Tech program. His musical influences are many, ranging from James Brown, Herbie Hancock and The Grateful Dead to many other jazz artists and classical composers such as Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Tito Puente, Igor Stravinsky, Claude Debussy, and many others.
