Andrew Basa
Violinist and Bassist Andrew Basa is highly regarded in the Chicagoland area for his musical versatility. Currently the bassist for the Stardust Big Band, he is the Deputy Concertmaster of the City Symphony of Chicago, first violinist of the Wheaton Symphony Orchestra, and a founding member of the Basa String Quartet. In addition to collaborating with Samuel Magad and the Chicago Symphony Chamber Players in 2004 and 2006, he has performed with the Chicago Philharmonia, the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, the Grandstand Big Band, Ron Smolen and his Ballroom Dance Orchestra and the Dave Roberts Swingtet
