Kurt Leege

Born: June 3, 1972

Raised a classical pianist, Kurt Leege learned to read music at the same time he learned to read. By the time he was in high school he developed a desire to write music, but found himself trapped in his classical training. As a means to express the music in his head, he taught himself to play guitar and he's been doing that ever since. At Swarthmore College, he studied jazz with John Alston and later played in his jazz ensemble, among other more pop music projects. During this time he also developed an affinity for skronk guitar from listening to the likes of Sonic Youth, MBV and Robert Quine

Maja Alvanović

Born: April 7, 1974

The Majamisty TriO’s music synthesizes classical and jazz elements, and judging by audience reaction it’s a refreshing addition to the jazz music scene. The cooperation of pianist Maja Alvanović, leader of the trio, with the fantastic musicianship of Ištvan Čik (drums and percussion), Ervin Malina, (double bass) and Aleksandra Drobac Čik (guest vocalist) gives wings to this idea and brings it to full fruition. The appierence of Majamisty TriO in 2010 was followed by concerts in Studio ‘1’ of Radio Novi Sad within ‘Jazz Appreciation Month’ organized by the American Corner, also the 26th Jazz Festival in Valjevo and IX International Jazz & Blues festival Geza Balaz Gari in Kikinda, as well as several clubs in Novi Sad. Neil "Nail" Alexander

Born: April 18, 1960

Keyboardist NEIL"NAIL" ALEXANDER has been performing professionally for 40+ years. His musical craft extends from Performance, Compositon, Arranging and Production to Live Sound, Modern Dance and Film. Grants from NYSCA and Meet The Composer gave Neil the opportunity to continue building on his composing skills. In addition to teaching piano and keyboard lessons Neil also teaches Master Classes in Synthesizer Programming and Music Performance Technology, and composes for "X Ensemble', a chamber ensemble. As an active musician he has recordings and/or a performance history with a variety of groups and artists such as Joe Lovanao, Bob Meyer, Gunther Hampel, Tony "Thunder" Smith, Tal Ross (P-Funk), Charles Haynes, Erik Lawrence, and The Adaptors Movement Theater

The Arcangelo Pezzella Project is not just the name I use to register my recordings; it's my idea of jazz. It has no boundaries; it cannot be strictly confined in a style, a groove, a sound, and not labeled in any way. On the contrary, it blends a world of sounds to create new ones. That is my aim: trying to create new things from old ones, exploring idioms, rules, harmonic choices, grooves and more, and finding new ways to express what I am, feel and think. To do so, the need for incredibly talented and like-minded musicians is of the utmost importance and, luckily, I found them: Guido Foi (piano and keys), Alessandro Petricciuolo (bass), Francesco Pellegrino (drums) and featured artist Angela Addezio (vocals). "Out Of The Blue", shows the results of it: no track is the same, and yet they are linked in unexpected ways, leading the listener from a world to the next one in a smooth and smart way. Bear Garden

Born: July 15, 1992

Bear Garden is a musical expression, neither more nor less. It´s music - it´s everything. Martin Wirén, the man behind the artist Bear Garden, is a many times rewarded composer and saxophonist with scholarships such as the Swedish STIM award and The Royal Swedish Academy of Music award on his personal record. On request from the Swedish Nobel Prize Museum he is also known for his musical interpretation of the Nobel Prize winner in literature 2016, Bob Dylan. Born in the small town of Gällivare in northern Sweden, Wirén was introduced to the saxophone at an early age. Spending the two first decades of his life in the garage of his family home practicing the horn, he later moved to Stockholm to attend The Royal College of Music. Kit Watkins

BORN TO CLASSICAL PIANO TEACHERS in 1953 in Virginia, Kit Watkins studied piano at home from ages 5 through 13. During his teen years, Kit was drawn to rock music and became a driving force behind a series of local bands, playing organ, synthesizer, and flute, as well as singing lead. By age 18, he was discovering his own writing abilities. He soon joined up with the band Happy The Man (HTM) which was forming at the local university. It was with HTM that Kit honed his skills in composing, performing, arranging, and producing.
