I first really touched a guitar at age 15. I got really serious with it at age 17 and at age 18 I enrolled into the preliminary year of the Conservatory of Hilversum, which later merged with the CVA, studying guitar, jazz in particular. I finished my studies there in 2000 and got a job in ICT directly afterwards, mostly because I was feeling terribly insecure about embarking on a musical career at that time. I got married with a wonderful woman and we're blessed with 6 children. I've been working in ICT for seven years, only to firmly establish that I should get back into music asap. In 2007 I quit my job and started my own guitarschool, making a living teaching guitar and music
