Aa. Vv.: Sulle rive del tango

Sulle rive dell'oceano Tango ci sono in tanti. Ci sono Carmen Consoli e Goran Bregovic che bagnano il folk siciliano e quello balcanico ("Focu di raggia"). C'è Gianmaria Testa che fa il bucato al cantautorato introspettivo immergendolo in rifrazioni tanguere ("Come un'America").

Ancora, Joe Barbieri ricorda le lezioni napoletane-argentine di Pino Daniele ("In una stanca differenza").

Poi fanno capolino gli Electrocutango che dissolvono il gelo norvegese (sono nordici) nelle tiepide acque del bandoneon o nelle delicate tessiture del piano ("Regina"). C'è anche chi, come gli Otros Aires o gli italiani Alacran, che si diverte a infrangere le onde del nuevo tango con l'elettronica ("Allerdings otros aires" e "Reflejo de luna"): qui è presente più che mai la lezione dei Gotan Project.

Al chiaro di luna appare il fantasma di Louis Armstrong che si materializza in "Kiss of Fire" (El choclo" dalla colonna sonora del film di Joseph Newman con Jack Palace.

Di tutto e di più, insomma, in questa compilation di rive e derive tango style. Un progetto di un gruppo di amici (Sara, Fabrizio, Sergio, Maurizio, Agata) che ha il pregio di riassumere le nuove vie del tango, facendo brillare artisti conosciuti e emergenti. Rivaioli in cerca di pathos e emozioni, in punta di tacco.
