Nick Heide

Nick Heide is a jazz pianist from Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in 2023, where he was fortunate to be a part of the prestigious World Jazz Studies program under the directorship of Patrick Bowen. During his time as a student, Nick gained invaluable experience as a player and benefitted from the mentorship of guest artists such as Jeff Hamilton, Bijon Watson, Steve Davis, and George Garzone. Nick also began to study with the great pianist and musical director Joey Singer. By the time he graduated, the young pianist was already playing frequently in clubs and shows around Las Vegas.

Currently pursuing degrees in Economics and Classics at Hillsdale College, Nick continues to play in the Southern Michigan Area, most notably with the Paul Keller Orchestra in Ann Arbor. He recently completed a stint playing at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and plays in Vegas whenever he is back in town.

Nick has a deep love and appreciation for straight-ahead, swinging jazz. He is also in touch with the roots of the music, traditional jazz and stride piano. He feels right at home swinging with the great musicians he has had the opportunity to work with so far in his career, such as Graham Dechter, Benny Benack III, Paul Keller, and Chuck Redd.
