Vincent Covello

Vincent Covello is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter originally from Lansing, Michigan. Vincent has been successful in the music industry for over 35 years as an artist, songwriter, and music industry vocal coach, working with top-line producers, artists, and record labels, as well as having hit songs with an extensive songwriting catalog.

Vincent began singing at the age of seven, performing with three bands up to ten shows per month, singing at major city and state-wide events, on the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy telethon, and with Danny Thomas for the Saint Jude Foundation. By age twelve, Vincent bought his first piano and began songwriting, playing by ear with a natural ability to write music and lyrics far beyond his maturity level, while training his voice at the time with famed vocal coach Seth Riggs.

As an alumni of Interlochen Arts Academy, Northwestern University Music Program, and Berklee College of Music, Vincent developed his performance skills and expanded his songwriting catalog, writing pop to standard-style ballads and songs that ignite emotions and touch upon the stories of the human experience.

In 1994, he teamed up with producer/artist BT with Warner Bros. East/West Records and was an integral part of a new sound in dance music during its infancy at the time, "Trance/EDM." With this collaboration, Vincent was at the forefront, ushering in the foundation of EDM music with his hit song, “Loving You More," which he wrote and performed, featured on the now classic album "IMA." He toured in Europe and performed in London on the famed show “Top of the Pops” when the song was topping the charts. “Loving You More” is now considered a classic song in the EDM genre of music and is featured on numerous greatest hits and compilation albums.

Currently, Vincent has returned to his artistic singer-songwriter roots and genre with his adult contemporary light jazz album titled "Torchlights." The album is best described in his own words:

“In 2020, the first year of the pandemic, I lost my father, brother, and mother all within an eight-month period. It was a very difficult time for me emotionally. I have written catalogs of songs throughout my life and have been in the music industry on various levels since I was young, but after they passed, I wrote a song titled "Torchlight." It is a song about my parents, grandparents, and ancestors who endured so much in their lifetimes, immigrating to bring a better life to future generations. I felt this energy so strongly, and I knew that I was honoring my family with this song. It sparked me to create an album of ten various old and new songs, a few co-written with musician Victor Migenes, that ultimately became an organic, fullconcept adult contemporary-standard light jazz album with an arc from the opening song until the final song, which is rarely done today in the world of singles. I then

found photos of myself that were very special to me from years ago in New York City by photographer Matthew Scott Drake that had an incredible energy within them, perfect for this album. I also included photos of my parents when they were younger, encapsulating true art images. Working with the incredibly talented music producer-artist Don Miggs, we wanted the album to be simplistic in its approach, so most of the recordings were me playing piano and vocals, as well as live strings by renowned orchestrator Andrew Joslyn and Don Miggs. We recorded a few songs with the Jim Riley band, along with the acclaimed saxophonist Michael Lington. Through my family loss, a spirit enveloped within this album and this moment in time for me. I knew something very special was happening with this music, and the energy has been palpable throughout the entirety of this project. I hope you enjoy listening and that these songs truly touch your heart.”

Along with being an artist and songwriter, Vincent is also a premier entertainment industry vocal and performance coach, working with an array of singers, artists, and actors of all ages and styles, including pop, Broadway, R&B, jazz, and classical. Vincent works with companies including Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV, Hasbro Entertainment, The Jim Henson Company, Sony, and all major record labels, top-level music producers and music management companies, including Red Light Management, major recording sessions, and Billboard chart-topping songwriters. Vincent has had the pleasure of working on the Nickelodeon Emmy-nominated hit TV show, currently on Netflix, "Victorious," with a cast including Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, Avan Jogia, and Leon Thomas III, among others. He has worked with clients on various hit television shows, including Glee and Disney shows such as “Jessie,” “Wizards of Waverley Place,” and "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," ABC's "The Middle" with Eden Sher, Free Form's "Shadowhunters," and The CW's "Arrow" with Katherine McNamara, NBC's "Champions" with Josie Totah, and FOX Network's Rocky Horror Picture Show, with Director Kenny Ortega and cast members including Laverne Cox, Victoria Justice, and Reeve Carney. Vincent’s client base also includes performers on Broadway in a variety of shows, such as Les Misérables, The Lion King, Annie, Mary Poppins, A Little Night Music, and Billy Elliot, among many others.
