I began my career touring the British Cabaret Circuit in England and Wales during my teens.I toured with my gifted, younger sister - Paula Gardner - as a sophisticated Accapela duo called 'High Profile' and we got much acclaim for our harmonic voices. (Check out a fun old, old, youtube link HERE) As a graduate of London's Central School of Speech and Drama with a Bachelor of Education Honors in Speech and Drama (B.Ed Hons) I, at first, embarked on a very rewarding Teaching career in my home city, Birmingham. I taught Drama and English Language at Secondary Schools but soon began pursuing my love of music, particularly that of jazz music. A solo career took me across the Mediterranean on luxury Cruise Liners as well as to the luxury hotel groups in Asia. I have had the honor of singing for the likes of the late Nelson Mandela (Kuala Lumpur 2001), to several Heads of States and Prime Ministers. From Sir Sebastion Coe (Xintiandi, Shanghai 2005) to Sir Richard Branson (Singapore 2000). It continues to be a musical journey for me. I have spent the last 8 years performing in and around Switzerland. It has been a joy! I am about to embark on another exciting new adventure. As of Autumn 2014 I am resident in New York City. One of the most dynamic cities on the planet. I have had the pleasure of performing at 95th Street and Broadway at New York's classy Symphony Space. I was joined on stage by the most gifted rhythm section this town has to offer. Truly. New York Debut Alexia Gardner In Manhattan. My latest album ALEXIA GARDNER LIVE AT THE BIRDSEYE JAZZ CLUB is currently being featured on SWISS - their in-flight jazz entertainment throughout 2017.

So you can listen to my voice while you fly! There are 4 albums to my name. Each recorded in front of LIVE audience with the exception of my 3rd album - Chasing Hope, Alexia Gardner and Offbeat Trio. This was recorded at Schwarzenbach Studios in St Gallen Switzerland and earned myself and Offbeat Trio the prestigious title of 2011 Swiss Jazz Awards Winners. In that very year we also picked up two Grammy Award nominations in Best Vocal Jazz Album and Best New Comer. The albums served as a fitting record of my travels around the world. Hongkong, Shanghai and Switzerland. I was fortunate enough to record in these locations with the best musicians living and working at these international posts at the time. I continue to find every opportunity to sing. Even collaborating with vocalists from around the world; big band orchestras and playing the part of an Egyptian Princess named AIDA, of a german-speaking production of AIDA DAS MUSICAL in Bern, Switzerland.
