FM Trio: Moment

Questo trio svizzero si presenta con una musica elegante, sulla linea di colleghi come Enrico Pieranunzi o il connazionale Thierry Lang, un pianismo post evansiano che ormai va di moda e convince pubblico ed organizzatori. Eppure loro riescono ad evitare formalismi e luoghi comuni, melodie dolciastre e scivolate verso l'"ascolto facile" con note prese a prestito da canzonette nobilitate dall'interpretazione per piano trio. I tre rimangono integri e lucidi in un dialogo che vede il batterista Fabian Bürgi demolire il sottofondo di certezze che il piano sembra spargere a piene mani, allergico alle frasi perentorie e affermatice. Invece sta lì a porre dubbi, domande, a rendere interessante lo svolgimento.

Il pianismo di Fabian M. Müller è pensoso e rarefatto, dal lirismo inquieto, accattivante per come si fa ammirare, cercando di capire il vero volto dietro la facciata. Mantiene una sana concetrazione antiretorica, qua e là portando alla superficie melodie aperte, solari, spinto dai suoi due comprimari.

L'FM Trio si muove sulla scia dei modelli di successo, tuttavia mantenendo una originalità che li rende interessanti. Non solo per chi gradisce un trio di pianoforte, contrabbasso e batteria per rilassarsi con belle melodie.
