01. Matthew Shipp - 4D (Thirsty Ear- 2010).

Matthew ha una grande mente e un grande spirito per questa musica. Come membro recente del Matthew Shipp Trio è stato un piacere ascoltare questo solo-album, tra strutture e fraseggi formidabili. Curate anche in The Art of the Improviser (Thirsty Ear) che uscirà all'inizio del 2011.

02. Gary Joseph Hassay - Live at the Connexions Gallery Vol. 1 (re:konstruKt - 2007).

La bellezza del suono di Gary e la profondità del suo linguaggio sono sbalorditive.

03. John Coltrane - A Love Supreme (MCA Impulse - 1964).

Mio figlio venne al mondo ventisei anni fa sulle note di questo disco.

04. Bill Smith - Folk Jazz (Contemporary - 1959).

Questo album pionieristico di Bill Smith funziona come corso di aggiornamento da parte del mio vecchio professore, in attesa della nostra performance in Space in the Heart, la nuova opera jazz di Bill in scena a novembre al Thalia Symphony Space di New York.

05. Joe McPhee - Trio X Live on Tour 2008 (CIMP).

"Non rimandare la gioia!". Joe, Dominic e Jay sono tre tra i miei migliori amici musicisti. Questo è un trio sorprendente!

06. Avram Fefer - Ritual (Clean Feed - 2009).

Un CD intensamente melodico di rara bellezza.

07. Van Morrison - Moondance (Warner Bros. - 1970).

08. Stephen Gauci - Red Feast (Cadence - 2009).

Stephen e Nels Cline. WOW !

09. Whit Dickey - Sacred Ground (Clean Feed - 2006).

Uno dei batteristi più originali in circolazione e mio compagno di band nel Matthew Shipp Trio.

10. Triptet - Triptet (Low Ways Records - 2009).

Tiratevi su con questi sorprendenti musicisti di New York.
