About the Album
“Drifter” continues Old Time Musketry’s pursuit of a music that draws on the exuberant spirit of jazz, the poignant melodies and soulful grooves of rock and folk music, and the energy and spontaneity of free improvisation. "Transmitter Park", written by JP Schlegelmilch, features a soaring melody and an insistent groove that work as the basis for hard-driving solos and rhythmic interplay...kind of a pop aesthetic that gets deconstructed throughout the course of the track. Mostly, it's fun. Adam Schneit: saxophone, clarinet, compositions; JP Schlegelmilch: accordion, piano, compositions; Phil Rowan: bass; Max Goldman: drums.
