About the Album
The brilliant and always innovative saxophonist Jon Irabagon shows yet another side of his creativity with this recording of wild and grooving bass saxophone duets with New Orleans low-end master Dan Oestreicher, who has toured the world as part of Crescent City treasure Trombone Shorty’s Orleans Avenue band. It’s Irabagon’s debut on the bass sax. For “Sugar Rush” the two are joined by percussionist Mike Pride, resulting in a second line of musical mayhem.
