About the Album
"Light in the Dark" is taken from the album "Levitation". It's a chill midtempo instrumental track that's both funky like Bootsy and mysterious like Lonnie. The drum work is heavily influenced by J Dilla, the hip hop king of swing. This song is the perfect soundtrack for a hot summer's day, when the pavement is so hot that all the chewing gum stains start melting. Jakspin incorporates the electric piano and analog synthesizers like they did in the late 70s, raw and analog.
