About the Album
"Impending Discomfort" is the opening track from Klotski by Gordon Grdina's Square Peg (October 22, 2021, Attaboygirl Records). Klotski is the studio debut of JUNO Award-winning, Vancouver-based Gordon Grdina's remarkable exploratory quartet featuring Grdina on guitar and oud, Mat Maneri on viola, Shahzad Ismaily on bass and Moog, and Christian Lillinger on drums. It's one of the first recordings to be released on Grdina's label Attaboygirl Records, created with his partner, photographer and visual artist Genevieve Monro, who curates the distinctive visual style of the label.
