About the Album
A tribute to Bill Evans is no small task, but pianist Randy Ingram displays both a keen understanding of Evans’ magic as well as his own musical invoice on this date, which features two legendary members of Evans’ classic trios: Joe La Barbera on drums and Rufus Reid on bass. “Aloft,” an Ingram original, captures the beauty, introspection, and virtuosity that made Evans so special.
