The David Leonhardt Trio: Explorations
Leonhardt, attento alle esigenze del pubblico nei suoi progetti - ce n'è un altro dedicato ai ballerini di tap dance - si destreggia con molta abilità ralizzando un lavoro di sicuro gradimento anche per il pubblico europeo, con la necessaria sapienza armonica e due sideman attenti alle sfumature dell'esecuzione. Un attento ascolto rivela la sua bravura nel rendere i brani di un certo interesse, con arrangiamenti che ne rivelano la profonda cultura musicale. Manca il dramma all'interno delle esecuzioni, o le improvvisazioni che portano lontano, ma questo sicuramente è un problema che questo trio, insieme al pubblico che lo ascolta, neanche si pone.
