Su Electric Parker si ammira uno swing elegante e fantasioso, di tanto in tanto impreziosito dalle linee chiaroscurali del sintetizzatore. La ritmica stellare produce un mobile tappeto sonoro, funzionale al saettante solismo del leader. Ma si ha l'impressione che Colombo avrebbe potuto osare di più, a giudicare dal suo bozzetto astratto in "Billie's Bounce." Un pizzico di irriverenza aggiuntiva sarebbe certamente piaciuta a Charlie Parker.
