Addentrandosi in Dans les arbres la musica passa attraverso stati di sonnolenza, indifferenza, flemma, ingordigia, distacco, freddezza e assopimento. Tali stati sono otto tracce improvvisate in cui le inspirazioni di John Cage e Morton Feldman (che fanno da sfondo ideale ad un progetto come questo) determinano che i suoni siano davvero suoni, come si dice nel libretto. Lavorando sugli stati d’animo si impone una maggiore attenzione all’esplorazione e alla rivelazione, piuttosto che al grande gesto. Ne guadagna la musica, che si delinea con tutte le sue contraddizioni.
Per chi ama l’improvvisazione questo è un davvero bel lavoro. Intelligente, mai banale, curatissimo nei suoi suoni vividi e corposi.
