Fausto Ferraiuolo Trio: Changing Walking

Gran bel disco questo Changing Walking del pianista napoletano Fausto Ferraiuolo. Concentratosi finora sulla formazione del trio, Ferraiuolo ha firmato due lavori per la DDQ ed uno per la Abeat Records, cambiando la ritmica e perfezionando i meccanismi di questo tipo di formazione. Fra i suoi insegnanti Franco D`Andrea ed Enrico Pieranunzi: specie il collega romano è stato ed è ancora fonte di ispirazione per la sua musica, così legata al mondo di Bill Evans.

Le composizioni sono ben congegnate, le improvvisazioni ben sviluppate in un dialogo a tre che ben poco ha da invidiare a formazioni più famose che praticano lo stesso genere. "Improtune" non segue alcuna pista prefissata, se non l'ispirazione estemporanea dei musicisti, l'eccezione alla regola di un album che per il resto si fa apprezzare per la perfetta strutturazione e l'empatia. Il mood disteso, la melanconia, la pacatezza presente a momenti fanno l'ascolto di quest'album un'esperienza rilassante di sicuro, senza che tuttavia si scivoli nell'easy listening.

Changing Walking è una conferma della maturità raggiunta da Ferraiuolo, un pianista dall'estetica tipicamente europea.
