The fusion of acoustic instrumentation and electronic-influenced composition has a modest but persistent foothold in jazz. Listeners might reference examples like Vijay Iyer Trio's “Hood" from Break Stuff, Nik Bärtsch's Ronin, or perhaps most notably, Dysnomia by Dawn of Midi.
