A good example of the breadth and the wonder of jazz is the world of difference that exists in the music, even in a small country like Finland. It has been said that it is not important where the music comes from, but where the music takes you. That said, it is of interest that some of today's most interesting jazz is coming out of Finland. The Finnish Ilmiliekki Quartet is a group of young and outstanding artists, and Take It with Me is a creative, ambitious, intimate and down-to-earth work of composition and inventiveness that makes you think and not just react to the music.
