Principle #1: “The Miles Davis Principle"

Miles Davis hated the word Jazz. Duke Ellington wasn't crazy about it either. The word suggested to them an insulting marginalization of their music. Even though you plan to have primarily Jazz in your establishment, avoid the word “Jazz" as much as possible and don't pontificate about the music.
