Quick Joy Trio: Are You Happy?

Il trio formato dal chitarrista Alberto Falco, dall'organista Lello Petrarca e dal batterista Aldo Fucile sceglie un approccio più solare e mediterraneo rispetto a quello del trio chitarra-organo-batteria di riferimento, quel Tony Williams Lifetime che è davvero lontano anni luce negli spazi siderali, modello inarrivabile di una musica densa di idee e di salutari contraddizioni.

L'alchimia fra i tre musicisti italiani sembra funzionare bene e magari basterebbe un po' più di coraggio per allontanarsi definitivamente dalle spiagge assolate del mainstream e puntare con decisione verso una musica più energica e ribollente di zolfo, senza troppo preoccuparsi degli schizzi e degli effluvi.

Anche i titoli delle composizioni (tutte originali) lascia intravedere una sana dose di ironia che potrebbe essere spinta molto più in avanti anche nella musica che i tre ci offrono. Aspettiamoli al varco della prossima prova discografica.
