MozArt Ensemble: Amadeus Lives! MozArt Ensemble plays Die Zauberflöte
Il lavoro è molto curato, a cominciare dagli arrangiamenti, firmati da alcuni dei componenti dell’Ensemble (tre sono di Moretti, due a testa di Martin e Gonzo, uno ciascuno di Zattera, Ronzani e Santimone), e ottima è la prestazione di tutti quanti i musicisti, che operano sempre in modo orchestrale, pur salvaguardando le caratteristiche solistiche della rilettura.
Il risultato è complessivamente piacevole e interessante, anche perché le musiche da cui viene preso spunto sono, come tutti sanno, davvero straordinarie. Anche se non tutte le tracce hanno la stessa originalità: alcune infatti volgono in direzioni libere e sorprendenti (come nel caso esemplare di “Hm, Hm, Hm”), altre invece si sviluppano un po’ più convenzionalmente e pertanto avvincono meno.
Eccellente il contrasto tra il quartetto d’archi - cui sovente è affidato il compito di introdurre il tema originario - e l’ottetto - che invece lo sviluppa sempre in modo originale.
Un disco complessivamente riuscito e un’operazione interessante, da sviluppare ulteriormente.
