Album Description

The album was born as a diary on the elements of the popular musical traditions encountered by Calò on tours in Italy, Spain, Balkans, India, North Africa, Middle and South America. The compositions incorporate suggestions of Mediterranean and South American musical traditions, spiritual jazz and live electronics. Against the current trend of the music industry, Pasquale Calò starts from a long musical exploration conducted with his quartet, over a period of 10 years, consolidating the writing and sound of the ensemble in long tours around the world. His music has thus been able not only to define itself in the arrangements but to absorb suggestions from the places with which the artist came into contact, determining reflections and choices related to an enlarged concept of identity.
