Album Description
Alda Magna was formed in 2009 in the Faroe Islands.
The members of the group are currently living in the Faroe Islands and in Denmark.
"Like Faces in the Water" is the group's 4th release.
Alda Magna won Band of the Year award at the Faroese Music Awards in 2018.
Alda Magna takes you on another perilous, flowing and dreamy musical adventure where the beauty and drama of the sea unfold with predictable unpredictability. A sea of human faces in the waves, beautiful faces, frightened faces, ugly faces, childish faces, happy faces; twisting faces that, like the quiet poetic plumes of waves, turn into roaring storms and raging wrath.
“3 2 2 3” and “Magnalda” composed by Arnold Ludvig.
Recorded in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, February 2023, at Studio Bloch / Kiminova
Released July 24, 2023
Rógvi á Rógvu - drums, percussion
Arnold Ludvig - bass
Kim Kristensen - piano, synths, flutes
