Album Description

"Open Relationship Blues," the debut album from the group Chronicles Of A Fourth, proves that it is never too late to chase your dreams. The band may be new, but the music is more refined than ever. It bursts forth powerfully, intensely, and with an extreme edge: none of the performance anxiety typical of beginners is perceptible. The group is formed by highly experienced musicians: Eric Van Aro, Alberto Pinelli, Marcello “Bread” Schena, and Antonio "Aki" Chindamo.

The album immerses itself in classic folk notes and atmospheric blues, yet its theme is nothing of the sort. According to the artists, "Open Relationship Blues" is a conceptual album that explores the romantic relationship between two gay men working in the entertainment industry and leading separate lives on two different continents. You don't typically hear a folk/rock song exploring LGBTQ+ sentiments every day, but this group demonstrates that you can follow a rock style while simultaneously addressing modern themes. The results are fantastic; the sounds of banjo and guitars emerge strong and clear, the singer's voice is more marked and expressive than ever, and the song lyrics tackle the weaknesses of love and the fear of loss within the relationship.

Chronicles Of A Fourth is a new project by a group composed of European members, one of whom is a mix of Italian, German, Swiss, French, and English culture. The band's name refers to an individual typically described as a "third culture kid." The meaning of this English expression indicates a person raised in a culture different from that of their parents or their country of origin. The result of this process usually exposes these individuals to much deeper cultural experiences, which are likely reflected in their music in this case.

Several songs from this latest album have already received a series of enthusiastic reviews from top-level musicians and critics. It is said that their music appeals to fans of artists like Better Than Ezra, Nick Drake, Billy Joel, John Mayer, Bon Iver, and Vance Joy.
