Album Description

Fuel For The Fire – 40th Anniversary Edition is an instrumental album blending progressive rock, jazz-rock fusion, and piano- and keyboard-centered composition.

Originally released independently on vinyl in 1984, the album was reimagined and newly realized in 2026 while preserving the original solo performances. The new edition combines those performances with newly recorded guitar, live drums, orchestration, synthesizers, and piano.

Across the album, heavier progressive passages sit alongside jazz/fusion textures, melodic keyboard writing, and broader orchestral color. The result is a continuation of the original work across time — a collaboration between the musician Alan Goldberg was then and the musician he is now.
