Album Description

This is the first recording release from my latest trio project - The Hannah/Nunno/Mitchell Trio. This session was the first time the three of us played together as a unit - and the results are outstanding! For jazz fans that love the classic standards, we chose a number of familiar and established tunes as a means of giving our listeners a solid frame to hang onto as we explore and go adventuring in the lands of interplay and improvisation. We also chose a few originals to introduce our listeners to new material cooked up in the jazz tradition of our elders and mentors. As a bonus for students of the craft and those fans interested in different approaches, we include a few alternate takes of the journey. I am very proud of this record!
