The music of Define Yourself is created in my attempt to make sense of the world today, and our place as individuals within it. A broad concept, yes, but it feels relevant in our time of constantly breaking news, social media posts, and our need to feel included, while simultaneously distinguishing ourselves. As humans, we seek to make order–to categorize ourselves and others. Where do we stand spiritually, ethically, culturally, socially, financially, politically, sexually, etc. …? And most importantly, where do we fit in?
