pianoAlbum Description
ZKP RTV Slovenija released a new album by double bassist, composer, and producer Robert Jukič, one of the most active and recognizable figures in Slovenian jazz, on June 19, 2026. The album Robert Jukič 4 + Bram De LOOZE: Congregation marks his 22nd discographic release and presents a document of an exceptional concert evening recorded on November 11, 2025, at Cankarjev Dom. The project brings together five top-tier voices of the European jazz scene in a dynamic and richly expressive musical dialogue. In addition to Robert Jukič, the ensemble features trumpeter Tomaž Gajšt, saxophonist Boštjan Simon, drummer Kristijan Krajnčan, and special guest, internationally acclaimed Belgian pianist Bram De Looze. The album captures a live performance in which the musicians, through original compositions and free improvisation, created a tense and inspiring sonic narrative. At the forefront are lyrical melodies, rhythmic energy, refined communication between the musicians, and an openness to the moment—hallmarks of high-level jazz creation. With his 22nd album, Robert Jukič continues a long creative journey of exploring contemporary jazz expression and connecting outstanding musical personalities from both the domestic and international spheres. This release follows his previous album We All Bleed, further expanding his recent creative output. The recording from Cankarjev Dom is thus not only a concert document but also a valuable testimony of a meeting of musicians who, each in their own way, co-create the image of contemporary European jazz. The album’s release by ZKP RTV Slovenija confirms the importance of this project for both the Slovenian and broader European jazz scene and represents a new milestone in Robert Jukič’s rich body of work.
