Album Description
BPM explores the theme of ‘identity’ through the metaphor of tempo.
Like a fingerprint, each person has a unique rhythm, vibe and BPM.
There is no such thing as being too fast or too slow. We simply move at our own pace.
The disconnection happens when we constantly try to adjust our BPM to someone else’s.
We can lose touch with ourselves, while others may perceive us as “too” something:
too slow, too quiet, too loud, too quick, too sensitive, too upfront, too introverted….
The track grew from writing inspired by conversations around identity and self perception.
BPM combines Spoken Word and a sung chorus with layered vocals, synth bass and electronic
drums, all performed and looped live with a loop station.
