This & That, Part 4: This & That, Part 4
If you've followed All About Jazz over the years, you know we're continuously refining and enhancing our website. We're currently in the second month of the Jazz Near You optimization project, aimed at improving its structure for better visibility in Google searches. Increased visibility for us means greater exposure for your events. While this project will take a few more months to complete, we're making steady progress. Additionally, we're preparing to develop a Coverage Request and Tracking System, a transformative tool designed to streamline how we manage requests from publicists, music presenters, music producers, and musicians. This game-changing initiative is our most ambitious project since Jazz Near You (in 2011), and we're super excited to get started.

The Jazz Forward Awards were announced last year but due to scheduling conflicts, we had to postpone it until this year and plan to highlight our first group of recipients this September in conjunction with the Jazz-con conference. In case you missed it last time around, All About Jazz is recognizing the movers and groovers in our industry with the Jazz Forward Award Program. It's our way to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations who advance jazz awareness, discovery and culture in creative and impactful ways. If you or your organization is a good fit, complete our nomination form today. Learn more about the Jazz Forward program and winner prizes, here.

If you're anything like me, you probably hate those Google ads, especially the ones that clog up AAJ. I work on the website every day and one day I got so fed up, I created a solution to hide the ads for myself and I can tell you, the experience is gazillion times better: the website is clean (and how it was intended to look) and loads much faster. Sadly, those ads have become a necessary evil to help make ends meet. That said, if you're a fan of the website, I have a deal... If you give $20 to our fund drive, we'll hide every Google ad and you'll get a VIP pass which includes sneak peeks at our articles before their published date. You'll also help us fund four impactful projects that we're aiming to complete by our 30th anniversary on August 15th. Our three decades of championing jazz discovery and culture online are unmatched and we plan to keep the party going for years to come, so please chip in if you can.
