Pietro Tonolo - Flavio Boltro - Emmanuel Bex - Joe Chambers: The Translators
The Translators è il titolo del loro progetto, nato sotto l'ala della Parco della Musica Records e registrato in studio a Roma nell'estate 2008. Un itinerario molto vario, attraverso il quale l'ascoltatore può godere delle eleganti note dell'iniziale "Dark Matter," dove s'avverte l'importanza dall'organo Hammond di Emmanuel Bex - decisivo per ciò che concerne il carattere timbrico dell'album -, passando per le cadenze di "Tu-Way-Pock-Away," un brano a firma di Joe Chambers, poi per le notturne e pensierose "Sienna's Song," "Quinte" e "Never Let Me Go," fino ai guizzi più intransigenti di "Sous le vent".
Ognuno dei componenti del quartetto è intervenuto in The Translators sia sotto il profilo della scrittura (con Tonolo capofila con tre brani autografi), che della completa messa a disposizione delle proprie capacità interpretative a favore di una riuscita di gruppo. Un lavoro apprezzabile proprio per la grande coesione che si avverte e per l'intensità degli interventi corali.
