Maiya O. Sykes

Born: January 19, 1970

Maiya Sykes is a classically trained vocalist, producer, vocal arranger and entrepreneur. She studied independently with Nina Simone and Betty Carter. After graduating from Yale University, she went on to further her musical education at The Musicians’ Institute. Maiya has provided back-up vocals for for The Black Eyed Peas, Macy Gray, Fantasia, Joss Stone, Michael Buble, Leona Lewis and Rita Ora. She was a featured backup singer for Macy Gray in her live show for more than five years. She recently provided backgrounds and was featured in the Oscar award winning film La La Land. As a recording artist, Maiya released a dance single with DJ Manny Lehman, “Body Rock”, recorded under the pseudonym Oceana, which reached number 1 on the Billboard Dance Charts in 2009

Linda Ellen Brown-Trinckes

John and Linda Trinckes met just over a year after both of them lost loved ones who passed on. After raising children, working to pay the bills and taking care of others who were seriously ill, they had both put their talents and dreams on hold. John taught music for 38 years, but had always wanted to write original music. Linda wrote poetry and sang, but never pursued songwriting, or sang much in public. Immediately after they met, they began singing together. Now, they have over 100 original songs, many albums or EPs, and a musical. They primarily write smooth jazz and easy listening songs, but have written in several genres, some cross genres and fit in 2 or 3, but are totally unique

Stella Heath

Singing since the age of eight, Stella feels wholly blessed to be able to express herself through music and song, and to carry forth the torch of Jazz Music that she loves so dearly. She grew up in the North San Francisco Bay Area, steeped in her mother’s eclectic music collection; some of her early musical influences were Louis Armstrong, Edith Piaf, Buena Vista Social Club, Billie Holiday, Tom Waits, Bod Dylan and Ella Fitzgerald. Her education was primarily in Acting at Interlochen Arts Academy and Syracuse University, where she received a degree in classical acting and cultural geography

Lucinda Williams

Three-time Grammy Award winner, Lucinda Williams has been carving her own path for more than three decades now. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Williams had been imbued with a “culturally rich, economically poor” worldview. Several years of playing the hardscrabble clubs gave her a solid enough footing to record a self-titled album that would become a touchstone for the embryonic Americana movement – helping launch a thousand musical ships along the way. While not a huge commercial success at the time Lucinda Williams (aka, the Rough Trade album) retained a cult reputation, and finally got the reception it deserved upon its reissue in 2014

Juliana Areias

Born and raised in Brazil, Juliana Areias began her music career in Europe before moving to Australia. It was her all original CD “Bossa Nova Baby” that catapulted her to fame less than two years ago. Featured on Australia Day 2016, the CD received multiple music award nominations and earned regular air play around the world. Her Bossa Nova Baby Show is filled with original tunes as well as classics such as “The Girl from Ipanema” and “Mas Que Nada,” blending jazz, pop, funk, ballad, and tango, all drawing on infectious samba rhythms. Ms. Areias has performed at many major venues around the world including the famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Auckland Festival in New Zealand, The Sydney Opera House in Australia and Beco des Garrafas, the legendary jazz club in Rio de Janeiro

He has released music internationally, charted for radio play and sales, and released his first studio album with collaborations from JUNO-winning artists from across Canada. Following a holiday EP in 2017, he is developing his sophomore album for release in 2018 with noted award- winning collaborators, and North American touring dates to be announced
