Jeanie Barton

Born: August 18, 1978

Jeanie is a jazz singer/songwriter.

Born in Nottingham, England, she started her musical career as a principle with the National Youth Music Theatre and continued her education at the University of Warwick.

Having studied jazz harmony at Morley College in London and bebop improvisation with BBC award winner Anita Wardell, Jeanie gigs regularly to sustained acclaim with her quartet and in other ensembles. She is proud to work with some of the best musicians on the British jazz scene today performing standards alongside her compositions around the UK and beyond. She also fronts the function band "Jazz and Cocktails" and is compere for the Laurie Morgan Trio. She now resides Crouch End, North London.

Mike Foenander

Born: December 23, 1969

Mike Foenander, a Musician who loves Music from Mozart to Miles and everything in between.

Born in London, UK, Mike moved to Australia with his family as a 14 year old.

His first Musicial Memories are of his mum’s collection of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Big Band Albums and a touch of Soul, he still has the records to this day.

His first Australian High school Para Vista had a very progressive Music and Drama curriculum which he thrived in. He picked up the Trumpet and was hooked, with encouragement from his Teachers Mike began to sing and hasn’t stopped since.

Mike has been involved in Musical Theatre and has been the Lead character in numerous Musicals productions.

Nailah

Born: June 17

Nailah’s voice resonates with the Spirit of her influences, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield, Bill Withers and Gil Scott-Heron. Honoring that Spirit is what moved Nailah to walk away from a lucrative career as an Attorney and Lobbyist on Capitol Hill.
The North Carolina native has written songs with noted jazz artists Tom Scott and Jeff Lorber, and her music has been featured on the FX television show, The Shield. Nailah has recorded and toured with various artists including Beck, Warren G, and John Cale of The Velvet Underground.

Rosemary Conte

Born: December 19, 1940

My singing career began at age 4 with my first stage appearance with my musical family. My father was a bassist, guitarist and singer. I had a busy youth performing in shows and concerts and as a teenager, with a traveling follies revue, then with my father's band,live and on radio and tv. I moved from Utica, NY to NJ in 1969, and in a couple years after a divorce, established myself on what was a shore jazz scene, even being one of the organizers of the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Festival/Foundation. I've been privileged to have performed with some of the world's greatest jazz musicians and the best of the Jersey Shore Jazz players, at every imaginable kind of setting and venue, including, of course, jazz clubs and in concert. Supporting 4 children with my voice, I made sure I could sing many styles and knew perhaps thousands of tunes....so that I would never have to turn down a club date or lounge gig. Proudly, today my two oldest sons are considered among the cream of todays NY musicians, Steve and John Conte

Fukumi

Vocalist FUKUMI was born in Aichi prefecture in Japan. She showed a strong interest in music as an infant after exposure to great artists such as Nat ‘King’ Cole, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day and Rosemary Clooney through her parents’ record collection. She started playing the piano at the tender age of four. In 1986 FUKUMI was a finalist in the Bach piano competition, receiving the ‘Encouragement Prize’ for her efforts. FUKUMI attended Musashino Music College in Tokyo, where she majored in classical piano and vocal studies. It was around this time that she became very heavily involved in her passion for jazz music, after joining the Waseda University Jazz Workshop. In an impressive career, FUKUMI has appeared on many festivals as well as Tokyo’s famed jazz clubs such as Alfie, Body & Soul and NARU to name a few. In September 1986 FUKUMI was invited by legendary jazz producer Todd Barkan to appear at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York to take part in their ‘Women In Jazz Festival ‘
