Leslie Beukelman is a young professional singer who originally hails from a small town outside of Chicago called Sandwich, Illinois. In 2005, she graduated with honors from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of the Performing Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in jazz vocal performance. She has studied with Jackie Allen, Karrin Allyson and Patricia Barber among others. Since graduating, Leslie has gradually forged a central role in Chicago’s unique and vibrant music scene. She is a first-call musician in Chicago because of a rare gift for versatility, as well as a disciplined commitment to ongoing musical growth

Michael Tinholme

It was probably decided even before Michael’s birth that he would be a musician. His Grandfather owned a music store and was said to have played pedal steel guitar with Hank Williams, on a few of his honky tonkin’ road gigs through the mid-west. Michael’s mother was a dance instructor and his father was an officer in the U.S. Army; both were record collectors and big music fans. From his earliest memories Michael Tinholme was exposed to music of all styles. Jazz, Gospel, Country, Rock-n-Roll and Classical were played non-stop in their traveling home. Over the years his parents took him to see concerts of legendary artists such as Duke Ellington, Count Bassie, Lionel Hampton, Mahalia Jackson, Buddy Rich, Tony Bennett, The Vienna Boys Choir and even David Bowie, Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones. Very early on, his parents began to notice that Michael could emulate the singing styles of almost any singer that he heard

Rachel Brand graduated from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama postgraduate jazz course in 2006. She came to jazz late having first had a career in business, most recently as a senior management consultant with a global Business Consultancy. Her business career was curtailed by her second brain tumour and she decided to take a chance on a jazz summer school. That was the Fionna Duncan Vocal Jazz Workshop in Edinburgh, August 2002.
