The Brazilwood Trio is made up of dedicated musicians who have been playing Brazilian music together for many years. We're always working to improve our craft, looking for more accuracy, better musicianship, a new way into the story, a deeper level of honesty. Portuguese is a remarkably expressive language, and the wealth and variety of great songs written by a range of Brazilian composers is astounding. We continue to study and learn, and hope to do justice to this magnificent music. I'm lucky to have studied and worked with many talented musicians. They have always shown me generosity of heart and spirit. A Certified Level III teacher of Somatic Voicework (tm), the LoVetri Method, I welcome students interested in expressing themselves through song, particularly beginners and those who are returning to singing.

Members of the press and media have frequently said “If Etta James Fronted the Tower of Power and they were a blues Band- THAT is what Paula Harris sounds like!” But that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Paula. This classically trained vocalist has literally run the gamut of music from Blues, to jazz, and everything in between.While most vocalists sing the small areas that cross between genres- Paula performs multiple genres over the full spectrum. She spent years singing with symphony orchestras and jazz bands as well as musical theater and corporate dance bands.

Martin Smith

Martin Smith - vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. A unique vocal talent, Martin has the cool, smooth delivery of old-school jazz crooners but also the emotional power and a contemporary edge developed in his time singing blues, rock and musical theatre. Martin's father was a trumpet player and his mother a singer during the golden age of big band swing. So a love for swing, jazz and the great ballads written at that time runs deep within him - and he has inherited a talent for performing in these genres. He cites the likes of Mel Torme, Mark Murphy and Ella Fitzgerald among his influences. However, he doesn't see himself as just a jazz singer

Peter Salett

Peter Salett and Larry Goldings: The Carriage House Sessions is an exciting collaboration between two very distinctive, emotive musicians. Springing organically from a day when Larry came over to Peter’s place to “maybe write a song”, the two realized immediately that they shared a similar sense of what a modern standard might be, and a reverence for the craft of songwriting. Their influences ranged from Randy Newman and Harry Nilsson to Stephen Sondheim and the classic Tony Bennett/Bill Evans records of the 70’s. They decided to get together one month later, in February of 2009, to write and record an entire record

Anne Mironchik

Anne teaches singing and performing to voice students of all ages. She also works as a speech therapist with those who require special attention for their speech and voice difficulties. As a performer, Anne can be heard playing solo or with her jazz ensemble as well as collaborating with others as a composer and lyricist. She is dedicated to sharing her love of the art and science of music with her audiences, students, and patients. Anne is a jazz vocalist, voice therapist, pianist, composer and lyricist with conservatory training, masters degree, and advanced studies with prominent, NYC jazz instructors
