Addleman’s musical approach is one well-steeped in a reverence for the traditions of great jazz singers and instrumentalists of the last century. Yet her sound represents an informed departure from the tropes and fixations of earlier generations of improvisational musicians. Obaro Ejimiwe (18 January 1983) is a British vocalist and musician better known by his stage name Ghostpoet. His first album, Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, was shortlisted for the 2011 Mercury Prize. His 2015 album, Shedding Skin was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Ghostpoet's fourth album Dark Days + Canapés was released on 18 August 2017.

During her mandatory military service, she studied at a branch of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music (Manhattan) in Tel Aviv Conservatory, always feeling like a bit of an alien. In a decisive break from tradition, instead of completing her bachelor studies by singing jazz classics in elegant dresses and heels, she made the decision to grab her guitar(s) and unleash the dark and gifted singer- songwriter she was all along. Avery Raquel

Dennis Gittens

Dennis Gittens, an East Coast native, grew up listening to the music in his grandmother’s music collection. The combination of Jazz and Salsa music in her collection influences him to this day. In 2001, he moved to New York, where he attended as many live jazz performances as he could, learning from each and every performer. His desire to sing like his jazz heroes took root in his 30s as he began to study the art of jazz. Soon, he was bringing his engaging style to audiences all over San Diego. He has also performed several times in NYC at places such as the world famous Smoke Jazz Club. Dennis tells a story with his vocals and is one singer to keep an ear open for!
