Onur Aymergen

Onur Aymergen started playing classical guitar with Özhan Gölebatmaz and studied classical flamenco with Suat Demirkıran, then interested in rock, funk and jazz music. He played his own compositions in many festivals and music clubs with his quartet and took part in projects with European musicians. In his jazz projects, he reflected the sounds of European jazz, modern jazz and world music. Afterwards, Aymergen worked with Mısırlı Ahmet for several years and tried to develop his rhythmic ideas. Guitarist & Composer Istanbul born Turkish guitarist and composer, starting on classical guitar at the age of 15. Then rock and jazz in the following years. At the age of 16, starting to play with his high school band and won the “Best Perfroming Band of Turkey” award in a nationwide music competition. After his intensive study of guitar and composition as self-taught musician, he moved to England to improve his musical talent at the age of 19. Afterwards musical journey continued in Germany and France. Over the years, he performed as accomplished musician in Europe by playing together with bands and styles like jazz, big band, rock, blues, funk, soul, new age, aiming to expand his musical vision
