Bear Garden is a musical expression, neither more nor less. It´s music - it´s everything. Martin Wirén, the man behind the artist Bear Garden, is a many times rewarded composer and saxophonist with scholarships such as the Swedish STIM award and The Royal Swedish Academy of Music award on his personal record. On request from the Swedish Nobel Prize Museum he is also known for his musical interpretation of the Nobel Prize winner in literature 2016, Bob Dylan. Born in the small town of Gällivare in northern Sweden, Wirén was introduced to the saxophone at an early age. Spending the two first decades of his life in the garage of his family home practicing the horn, he later moved to Stockholm to attend The Royal College of Music. Jakob Norgren is a Swedish saxophonist, composer, arranger and big band leader. Main instruments are baritone sax, tenor sax, clarinet, bass clarinet and contra alto clarinet. He started his orchestra, initially named Jakob Norgren Big Band Splash, in 2004 and first released two albums that mixed contemporary jazz with soul/R&B. From 2010 Jakob let the band develop into a pure soul-jazz/R&B orchestra under the shortened name Big Band Splash, while introducing Jakob Norgren Jazz Orchestra (with almost the same members) where he could refine his contemporary jazz writing. Gustav Lundgren is one of Sweden's most prominent jazz guitarists right now. He was born in Stockholm 1980, started to play guitar at age 12. He studied music in Stockholm, Bollnäs and Svalöv between 1996-2000. Gustav started to play at clubs around Stockholm at age 16 and made his first tour to Spain with his own trio at age 19. Between 2000-2010 Gustav toured Japan, USA, England, Brazil, France, Syria, Turkey, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway & Finland with different jazz groups. He has recorded over 70 CDs as a side man and over 20 solo albums. Gustav Lundgren has been working with names like: Chris Cheek, Jimmy Rosenberg, Jorge Rossy, Doug Weiss, Bill McHenry, Lelo Nika, Marian Petrescu, Rasmus Faber, Antoine Boyer & Gustavo Bergalli.
