Stewart Hoffman has a wide variety of experience as both a performer and vibraphone, percussion and drum teacher. He began studying jazz vibraphone, drums and percussion in his home town of Toronto, continuing his musical education in New York City and at the Institute of Advanced Musical Studies in Montreux, Switzerland with jazz vibraphonist David Friedman. He subsequently studied percussion with Elden C. “Buster” Bailey at the Juilliard School, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in music. Stewart has backed headliners at Royal York's Imperial Room, performed musicals at the Stratford Festival, Petrolia’s Victoria Playhouse and Toronto's O'Keefe
