Steve Altenberg has lived both in the United States and Europe and has made his career traveling the world as a performer and clinician. He has toured throughout North America, Europe, Scandinavia, Africa and the Middle East and has been working in the music business since the early 1980s. He currently resides in The Netherlands where he is a full professor of music at The Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen.
