Javier García (Buenos Aires, 1969). He began to play the guitar in a self-taught way at age 13. Then, he conducted formal studies in various areas with the following teachers: Ricardo Pellican (1986/87): jazz guitar Sergio Liszeswski (1987/88): guitar & harmony Walter Malosetti Superior Jazz School (1989/90): jazz guitar Francisco Rivero (1990/99): harmony, improvisation & composition. He attended different workshops, including especially "Music & Technology Course" taught by Pedro Aznar, which was an important trigger and motivation for the use of different technology elements applied to musical creativity both live and in the recording studio

Guitarist and composer Felipe Alonso, raised in Peru, is much at ease in both electric and acoustic settings. His dedication for the guitar has led him to explore jazz music in the US and flamenco in Spain. Felipe moved to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute in Hollywood and the prestigious Thornton School of Music at University of Southern California. His versatility makes him standout as a unique guitarist able to perform different musical traditions with much ease and authority. "A Gathering" celebrates Felipe's musical upbringing as an innovative jazz musician able to preserve South American culture and showcase his improvisational skills on the guitar.

Born:

Utilizing compositional inspiration from Jazz, Latin Jazz, Pop, Bossa Nova, and other contemporary styles, this Argentinian artist now residing in Orange County, CA, creates an eclectic fusion of international sounds.  Laura’s voice is often described as delicate, smooth and soulful and she sings in six different languages besides English and her native Spanish. Her natural and inviting delivery has charmed audiences since the start of her career in Argentina and then in Europe where she toured with Tango and Latin Jazz Bands during the late 90’s.  Laura spent her early years intensely involved in the cultural life of Buenos Aires performing theatre and singing, then moved to Europe and toured with several bands while studying music in Switzerland
